Our Journey
Our story began like many modern love stories do: with a swipe. We met in 2020 when everything was shut down (Meera reached out first). We quickly realized there was something special between us after Nikhil made some bad jokes.
What followed was five years of long-distance, filled with weekend visits, airport goodbyes, and countless FaceTime calls. Every 1–2 months, we’d make it a priority to see each other, whether it was a quick getaway or just relaxing on the couch with takeout.
In the mix of all that came Archie — Nikhil’s adorable pup who joined his life just a year before Meera did. It didn’t take long before Archie became part of our little family.
After years of flights, phone calls, and building a relationship across state lines, Nikhil proposed during a magical trip to Turks and Caicos. He planned it on a secluded beach — the setting you only see in movies. But in true “us” fashion, the night included a plot twist: an intense (and slightly terrifying) Uber ride that almost derailed the whole thing. Thankfully, we made it — now it’s one of our favorite stories to laugh about.
